Meet Dr. Bob Yu

“I'm so thankful for the chance to make people feel good about their teeth and themselves. Nothing is more rewarding than seeing my patients leave with healthier, brighter smiles, and it's what keeps me excited and grateful for what I do every day.” – Dr. Bob Yu

Dr. Bob is extremely passionate about dentistry and loves being able to use his skills and knowledge to help improve his patients' oral health. He aims to provide high quality dental care while being as gentle as possible. In fact, he's so gentle that multiple people have fallen asleep on him while getting treatment done. He understands that going to the dentist can be nerve-wracking, but he hopes to make each visit an enjoyable and pleasant experience. He will always go the extra mile for his patients and quite literally, bend over backwards for them - which explains his occasional back pain that he never complains about, except to his wife. Dr. Bob enjoys getting to know his patients and understanding their needs and wishes and coming up with a comprehensive treatment plan together. His goals are to preserve as much healthy tooth structure as possible and to help people achieve the smile they've always wanted. He is ecstatic to be a part of the Discovery Dental team and can't wait to meet you!

Personal Life

Dr. Bob, his wife, and adorable one-year-old daughter recently moved to Washougal, and they are excited to be part of the wonderful community here. Together, they love to explore the great outdoors of the PNW and try new restaurants in the area. Before his daughter was born, Dr. Bob used to enjoy snowboarding, playing basketball, and playing board games. Now his favorite activities are stacking blocks, reading bedtime stories, and dancing to KIDZ BOP.
